This is the first time in the history of Fire Service in Nigeria (sic) since it was first established as Nigerian Police Fire Brigade in 1902 that it would be so celebrated. Monday, 13th November, 2017 was the epoch making day when HipTv crew led by the Chairman, Mr Ayo Animashaun came calling in appreciation of a prompt response to a recent fire incident where Lagos State Fire Service salvage their property and ensure her business continuity.

The unfortunate Fire incident, which occurred on Monday, 6th November, 2017, was swiftly attended to before it could do further damage at the Ogundana Street off Allen Avenue, Ikeja premises studio and offices of the musical entertainment outfit.

In the words of Ayo Animashaun, "it beat my imagination to witness an emergency response within 10 minutes of call time at traffic peak period in a cosmopolitan Lagos. The swiftness was accompanied with tenacity and passion at which the Fire was put out in a twinkle of an eye, that ensure we stay in business without going off air. I felt challenged to have witness the other side of life but give glory to God while thanking Lagos State Fire Service with this token as I enjoined all not to empathise with us but appreciate God on our behalf as no life was involved".

He went further to pledge partnering Lagos in Fire Safety Advocacy by making available his wide medium platform for the propagation of Life and Fire Safety. He concluded by thumbing up the Lagos State Government of His Excellency, Mr Akinwunmi Ambode for giving adequate attention not just to Fire Service but to the entire State Emergency architecture.

The Director of Lagos State Fire Service, Mr Rasak Fadipe in his response, appreciated Animashaun and his entire HipTv crew for the first of its kind gesture and assured that the confidence Lagosians reposed on Lagos State Fire Service would not be compromise as the State Government placed premium important on the lives of its citizenry. He reeled out some of the appreciations received this year alone by the State Fire Service to include that of the Nigerian Breweries Plc, Friesland-Wamco Nigeria Plc, Bookshop House Limited etc.
