OSUN BYE ELECTION: What Fani Kayode Told Aregbesola After His Candidate Lost

Former Aviation Minister, Femi Fani Kayode has told Osun State Governor to shave off his beard and resign after his candidate lost in the Osun West bye- election, Naij reports.

NAIJ.com reports that the Peoples Democratic Party’s candidate and the younger brother to the late Senator Isiaka Adeleke, Ademola won nine local governments out of ten local governments in the Osun West Senatorial District.

According to Naij reports, Aregbesola had boasted during the campaigns for his party’s candidate, Mudashiru Hussain that Adeleke would be defeated because he is novice politically. He was also quoted to have said that he would resign if Adeleke won the election.

In his tweet concerning the PDP’s victory at the poll, Fani-Kayode said that since Adeleke has won the election contrary to Aregbesola’s assumption, the governor should do the needful and resign as promised without further delay.

He quoted Aregbesola as saying: "I will resign if Adeleke wins Osun West Senatorial bye-election"- Rauf Aregbesola.
