Dear Friends,

This is the day God almighty has made us see. Today June 8th 2017 marks seven hundred and thirty days I was sworn in as a Member of the prestigious Lagos State House of Assembly to represent the good people of Amuwo Odofin constituency 1.

I want to use this opportunity to say a big thank you to God almighty who has given us the life and grace to see this day. To the people of Amuwo Odofin whom without their votes, decision, belief and trust I would not be in office today. The last 2 years have been one of both challenges and rewarding results.

When we first came into office we had three major things on our agenda which are 1. To make Government and Governance more accessible to the people which is why today we have a constituency office located on 204 road house 5 2nd avenue, Festac town where I am at least 3 times a week so I can be closer to the people and even more accessible when needed. We made sure communication was taken to another level by providing a feedback and communication platforms like social media channels, the Amuwo Network magazine platform where people can follow our works and reach us by.

Number 2 is the general welfare of our people, we have been able to help parents cut cost on their children’s daily transportation to school by providing FREE school buses to take children to and from school, added to that, we included a FREE after school lunch pack for the children on the buses, included monthly diesel & petrol distribution to mosques and churches, Iftar package during Ramadan and Easter & Christmas packages during both Muslim and Christian season celebrations.

Third and most of all is community development and engagement. In the last two years we have received thousands of Text massages, Facebook requests, Emails, Phone calls and letters where many centered on financial support, job requests, road reconstructions & repairs, medical bills, school fees, business support, house rent, employment, schools scholarship programs, widows support, youth empowerment training etc. We did our best with the help of God alone to respond to as many as we could, sadly for those we couldn’t reach, we ask for your continuous prayers that we would do more.

To the glory of God we have been able to attend to most of these requests by calling on the appropriate authorities to fix bad roads and construct new ones where needed, keep the environment clean and clear blocked drainages through our Keep Amuwo Clean (KAC) initiative. We have settled as much medical bills as we could, paid school fees, provided jobs and job opportunities for many in the Public and Private sectors, trained others in skill acquisition like photography, make up, fashion design, mechanics, carpenters, administrative and protocol work and much more through the help of God.

This is not a score card of our work, but a testimony to the fact that we have a legislative representation like never before. This is the first time we would have a legislative representation with an open door policy, meaning everyone no matter party affiliation is welcome.

Ours is not a representation of adversity but one of unity that embraces all other parties no matter where you stand. We are not an opposition, an opposition is a person or group against the aims of another but I tell you the truth, all we want in a Lagos where we all can benefit from true leadership and Government’s promises. I cannot over emphasize how much I appreciate your support neither can I under estimate how kind understanding you have been even in this challenging economy, we have not let ourselves down.

As we now forge ahead to the remaining two years on this first tenure, I ask that we see ourselves more as a community of people working towards a greater good, after all if e better for every man, every woman, e don better for everybody.

God bless the people of Amuwo Odofin, God bless Lagos State.

Let us continue God’s own progress

Thank you
