Just In: After Paris, ISIS Threatened to Attack America

The Islamic State has threatened to attack Washington DC, capital of the United States (US). In a video released on Monday, the group said countries involved in the airstrikes against it will suffer the same fate as France.

It was not immediately possible to verify the authenticity of the video, according to Reuters. The group has claimed responsibilities for Friday’s coordinated attacks, which left 129 dead and led to the injuries of 352 people (99 of them in critical condition) in Paris.

The American authorities deployed troops in different parts of New York following the incidents in Paris. Later the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) said the US was not under any threat.
