"I am Helpless" Rauf Aregbesola Osun State Governor Cries Out

Governor, Rauf Aregbesola of Osun State yesterday cried out for help over the non-payment of seven months salaries to workers in the state, saying the situation was worrisome.

According to THISDAY, Aregbesola stated this at the inauguration of the new assembly members, which was followed with the immediate election of principal officers held at the State House of Assembly.

He noted that the unpaid salaries was a painful situation for workers to bear after the hectic work done.

He was however hopeful and optimistic that the situation would soon be a thing of the past.

He also contended that members of the assembly were being inaugurated at a time the state was sick financially and called for their commitment to overcome the challenge.

What has Governor Aregbesola been doing with the allocation and security votes he gets from the Federal Government?

  2. Am feeling for civil servants in the state. Buhari said no bail out for States unable to pay salaries. Am wondering how he would be able to pay those civil servants.
