Ondo is not Rivers, Akeredolu Tells Wike

The Governor of Ondo State, Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, has lashed out at his Rivers State counterpart, Nyesom Wike of his allegations ahead of the forthcoming polls in Ondo State.
While urging Wike to exercise caution over his utterances, Akeredolu said that Ondo State is not Rivers where he can lord over anyone.According to Akeredolu, who spoke through his Commissioner for Information, Donald Ojogo, said the scheme by Wike to assume the role of godfather ahead of the poll will be resisted by the people of Ondo State.On Friday, during a breakfast programme on Channels Television, Wike had alleged that following the victorious outing of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP in Edo State, there is enormous pressure on the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to ensure that the All Progressives Congress (APC) wins at all cost during the October 10 polls.While emphasizing the Wike’s “imperialistic approach is most unfortunate and very unbecoming,” Akeredolu said tactics cannot work in …

A former Aviation Minister Femi Fani Kayode has said the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC) cannot suspend the Ekiti State Governor Dr Kayode Femi because he visited him.

Fani Kayode's Ghanaian Wife Says They Are Still Together

Mrs Regina Fani-Kayode (nee Hanson-Amonoo), the legal wife of a former Minister of Aviation, Chief Femi Fani-Kayode, says the ex-minister has never abused her in their 23 years of marriage.
She said this during a telephone interview with The PUNCH on Monday in reaction to allegations that Fani-Kayode abused his estranged wife, Precious Chikwendu.Regina, who is a Ghanaian, said she got married to Fani-Kayode based on Ghanaian customs in 1997 and they subsequently tied the knot at the Apapa Registry in Lagos in 2002.

Survival Fund for Nigerians: FG Opens Portal Today

As the portal for the registration of prospective beneficiaries for the Survival Fund opens on Monday, the Federal Government has released the timetable for categories of businesses to register.A statement issued in Abuja on Sunday by the Project Delivery Office stated that the portal which opens at 10 PM, will have educational institutions as the first category of beneficiaries to register.“Nigerians interested in the Payroll Support scheme are to note that the site for registration will be open from 10 pm Monday, September 21, 2020. “In order to ensure a seamless registration process, the Project Delivery Office (PDO) has designed a registration schedule.“Registration for Payroll Support will start with educational institutions on Monday and will be followed with businesses in the hospitality industry on Friday, September 25 beginning from 12 A.M.“The portal will also be open to other categories of small businesses from 12 A.M., on Monday, September 28, 2020,” the statement said.The …
